Mr. Champion brings with him more than 35 years of experience in working on many internationally branded hotel & resort openings participating in their branding, design, creation, and successful operation. With experience in diverse international locations, he has a strong knowledge of branding and franchise operations. International brand work experience includes Four Seasons, Pan Pacific, InterContinental, Westin, Le Meridien, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Marriott, Conrad Hilton, Hyatt, as well as convention center experience, tour operations, retail stores & club management, spa creation & operations and the creation of an international hotel school.

Born in Montreal, Canada, Mr. Champion holds dual Canadian and Panamanian Citizenships, was awarded Honorary Doctorate ¨Doctor Honoris Causa¨ from the Honorable Academia, he has studied hospitality at Ryerson University in Toronto with further strategic business management studies at Cornell University, the Harvard University Extension School as well as the Sloan School of Business at M.I.T Cambridge, Mass. Mr. Champion is multilingual speaking English & Spanish, as well as some French & Mandarin.

He is currently the President of the Panama Canada Chamber of Commerce and is a past president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Panama.
